Ramin Sam, MD, Professor

Dr. Sam grew up in the Chicago area and attended University of Illinois for both undergraduate education and medical school. He is currently a clinical nephrologist at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and a clinical professor at University of California, San Francisco. He is the inpatient clinical nephrology director at Zuckerberg San Francisco General hospital, represent network 17 in the medical advisory council to the national forum of ESRD network and is a founding member of international society of hemodialysis.
Dr. Sam has published multiple articles on varied nephrology related topics such as hemodialysis, sodium disorders, other electrolyte disorders and even glomerular disorders. In 2018 he published a book entitled “Understanding basic renal pathophysiology”.
